Rosalind Noor, born in 1990 in England, is a British-Australian artist specialising in traditional Islamic arts. As a student of Arabic calligraphy in the Chinese style under Haji Noor Deen and Islamic illumination under Necati Sancaktutan, Noor's artistic journey reflects a commitment to mastering ancient disciplines while infusing them with contemporary relevance. Predominantly using water-based mediums, ink, natural pigments, and precious metals, her work explores hybridity and exchange between visual cultures and examines emotion and the human experience - profoundly influenced by her ten years working as a doctor.

Her insights into non-Western artistic canons and intercultural exchange have profoundly shaped her artistic vision. Noor’s first major artwork was selected as an Australian Muslim Artist 2023 finalist, with the painting now on permanent display at the Islamic Museum of Australia and used as an educational resource to improve cultural understanding and combat Islamophobia. She is the winner of Australian Muslim Artist 2024 with her work “The Sovereign”. This work is now in the collection of La Trobe University, Melbourne.

Noor's debut children’s book Trouble at Taraweeh published by Ruqayah’s Bookshelf in 2023. She is currently working on her second manuscript.
